The creation of energy

ooja - 17-4-2009 at 14:42

i have an idea of how to create energy. wait but you cant create energy can you?
But can you somehow play with some catalysts, entropy, and reverse reactions?
I would like some help figuring out if it will work. I am in a highschool AP Chemistry course, so if help could be directed towards my pool of knowledge so i dont have to run to the encyclopedia every other second it would be appreciated.

thanks

You are asking to be spoon fed, withiut even telling us what it is that you want to eat.

I would suggest that you write up your idea in full and submit it here for criticism. You will learn more that way, because the knowledgable people here will be motivated to help you by showing you where your ideas are wrong and, maybe, by praising your clever and innovative thinking.

Energy is conserved; it cannot be created nor destroyed. Or rather it is more correct to say that mass-energy is conserved (seeing as mass and energy can interconvert - See Einstein's theory of relativity)

Keep your encyclopaedia and your chemistry texts close to hand and your pool of knowledge will eventually become an ocean.
Information you can't find can then be asked for. . .
