I have 1 liter of 98% Nitric Acid. It is in the original bottle, with a GL-32 lid. However within not very much time the cap failed. Replacement
GL-32 caps thread on, but stop short of a Teflon gasket, leaving the replacement cap exposed to vapors.
I need a new bottle with a cap for the best possible long term storage.
I need it fast. Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks for moving this where it belongs. I just ordered a solid Teflon GL-32 cap. I’ll still take suggestions.

Teflon is definitely the way to go. You can also wrap the threads in PTFE plumber's tape for extra security. They make a thicker gas-tight type too
(the yellow one). You can also put the whole bottle inside another bottle (or bag) that contains an absorbant for acidic gases, like baking soda.
