Ordering things like mercury or dicyclopentadiene from LiMac Science?

I was wondering if you can order from their second catalog for which you need to contact them if you want to order something as a private person.

And another question: how do you know which specific substance is legal to import into Germany? As they say in their delivery terms, you have to find out for every substance individually, and so far, I have found nothing which shows that when I look for it, except for things like nitric acid. I might actually just be too stupid to find it, but I really don't know.

I asked them for a quote for some things from their second catalogue but they were all pretty expensive.

Around which price range were they?

You should simply ask them anything, make a list with Your desired substances and ask can they sell them to You, can they ship it to Your location and how much it will cost, then You decide. Really, that is their job, and they do it well!

To DavidJR's image:
Ah. Yeah, that's really expensive. Do you know a different source for dicyclopentadiene? That's something I'd be interested the most in to buy for future synthesis as of right now.

Okay. I'll do that. Thank you.

Another thing I noticed: what does the ((!)) mean when selecting amounts?

Back when I could order from Sigma Aldrich I got some dicyclopentadiene from them. Unfortunately I can't buy from them any more.

Being able to order from them must've been a dream.

After a little detective work, looks like ((!)) is next to items, that could not be sold to private individuals, as those appear next to most Items I know I can't buy, as hydrogen peroxide, that is stronger than 10%, while there are none of those markings next to 10%. But that you should also clarify with them! :)

Alright. Thanks.

Nope, I've bought items from them that are now marked with ((!)). I'd guess it's maybe some shipping restriction or something, especially since some items only have it on larger quantities - but you'd have to ask to know for sure...

As I made an order today, I asked, and they said that ((!)) means that there are some restrictions on the substance or quantity, in general. They are working on more understandable and clear way indicating the restrictions.

LiMac is not expensive, compared to the likes of Sigma Aldrich et al.

I haven't bought from them for a while but I have not had any problems.
