Hey there 
I've decided on trying the Grignard reaction for the first time. For this purpose I synthesized 1-Bromopropane. I dried it with CaCl2 and redistilled
it. The problem is when redistilled some of the nPrBr converted to HBr and the distillate seemed to be strongly acidic(tested via pH paper). I now
nuetralized the solution with NaHCO3(s) and redried it over CaCl2(s). Is it possible to just use it as is after mechanically
filtering off most of the solids?

Shouldn't be a problem. I think it is probably not preferable to have solid CaCl2 in the reaction, but if your filtration is good, it should be fine.
