Need to solve clonazepam in some ingestable

Xanax - 16-8-2020 at 06:40

I'm trying to quit my benzodiezepins which I've been taken everyday for over 20 years and I have to take it very slowly with the withdrawal. I can split the pills in 0,125 mg, but I need even lower steps...

I can crush the pills and put it in a bottle of water, and then shake it to tune the dose, but the clonazepam isn't solutable in water. I want to use it as a nose-spray, it works very faster that way.

I tried to solve it in propylene glycol, but it was nasty to spray in the nose...

Any ideas?

Your username seems fitting for this question.

You should be able to dissolve it in ethanol, see here: https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/je8007827

Then you can evaporate aliquots onto some solid binding agent to try to create pills with a lower dose. I don't think a nasal spray would work well because it would be too hard to control the dose delivered.

However, I am not a medical doctor, and you should consult one before you try this.

Dissolved in ethanol (probably needs small % & rest water) and then use a liquid dropper to measure the solution/dose? so if it is .5mg/ml then take .2ml for .1mg or .1ml for .05mg

Yes, ethanol will work better, but don't do it with nasal spray. When injected into nasal buccosa, it's stronger and lasts shorter, which makes it bad in terms of quitting addiction. It's better to take little bigger dose and just swallow it...
