The question is vague, but anyway . . .
Impure copper is purified by electrolysis by making it the anode and plating it onto a cathode of pure copper.
And; FeCl<sub>3</sub> + Cu --->FeCl<sub>2</sub> +CuCl
The reaction barely proceeds in the absence of O<sub>2</sub>.
