Thoughts on electrodes, conditions, side-reactions, byproducts and viability?
Mainly I wonder if Kolbe electrolysis can be performed without platinum electrodes. If not it should not be too hard try and might be worth getting
some EDTA for which is not useless in itself.
The product could be useful as an inert non-nucleophilic base or proton sponge.
