Introduction to myself

Taba - 15-7-2023 at 04:32

Hello, im new here!

I do a lot of research on co2 reduction with photocatalysts like graphitic carbon nitride or n-doped graphene or porphyrins.

I will post some "papers" on how to make different graphitic carbon nitride and graphene derivatives in the future.

The Borg are coming!

Welcome to the forum!

P.S. Are you here to assimilate us into the Borg Collective?

I have noticed a lot of mysterious activity lately, namely, a bunch of users all registered many years ago, all posting now, 9 years later.

For instance:

Danjohnsonson (registered 4-3-2014) (first post 11-7-2023)

deadrush (registered 4-3-2014) (first post 13-7-2023)

HankTheHam (registered 8-3-2014) (first post 13-7-2023)

Henni (registered 9-3-2014) (first post 15-7-2023)

All registered within a 5-day period, nine years ago, and all posting within the last two days!

And then we have:

VanUnamed

Their first post was 14-7-2023, but they registered 12-6-2023, so maybe the odd-one-out, right?

However, if you look at the profile for all of the above, you'll notice a "#" in the Bio field.

At first I thought this was maybe some sort of auto-fill thing, but I clicked through quite a few members in the Member List, and I can't see anyone else with a "#" in their Bio field.

So it seems like VanUnamed might be one of them too.

Anyway perhaps its a glitch, or perhaps we have an army of sleeper agents!

Turns out it’s neither. I was freaked out when I first noticed it too, but it turns out Polverone wrote a script to rename/reset old no-post accounts to work as new accounts for people who requested them by email. The first several accounts created this way didn’t have the original registration date updated. Polverone updated the script to correct that on new accounts. So these are all legit people who actually just registered this week. I hope the registration dates on the “2014” accounts will be corrected too, but I’m not able to do that myself.

How can I change my name. I got this name from the admin who gave me this account.

Henni, I changed your name to Taba. The password remains the same.
