I looking for example two insoluble liquid and very different density

How different do the densities have to be. You could always go Mercury and *Insert low density organic molecule*

What is this for anyway. Sound kinda like homework to me.

Polverone - 10-3-2004 at 17:35

Almost any halogenated liquid solvent and water will work, too.

Proteios - 10-3-2004 at 18:25

yeah.. for high density liquids u aint gonna top mercury.... cannon ball will float in mercury....(density 13.456g/ml)
water is about 1g/ml
halogenated dont get much denser than Iodomethane at 2.3g/ml
pentanes pretty much the least dense hydrocarbon......with a density of about 0.6g/ml

ahlok2002 - 11-3-2004 at 07:09

or any organic solvent with polar solvent will do!

liquid totally insoluble to the water and density is bigger than 2 g/ml

Please inform me the specific name of three or more liquid totally insoluble to the water and whose density is bigger than 2 g/ml

Thats easy.. 1,1,2,2 trimethybromuranylamine

An amalgum of Rb, Ca and Al in the exact ration of 20:3:1

and butyl lithium

the latter of course only being 'totally insoluble' in very small amounts of copious water.

Hmmmn, and would FEBA be short for Fernando Baez by any chance?

I think it would be nice if you gave us some background information, before expecting us to make the effort.

Thank you for your answer.

Please inforn me for 1,1,2,2 trimethybromuranylamine : chemical formula and CAS register number.

Ok mister I've had it with you now. If you can't find a CAS number or chemical formula from a name, then there's no hope for you.

Closed.

Mess with me again and you'll have a post ban glued to your ass.
