HNO3 Distillation with Oxygen Injection

In thinking about how create a product closer to WFNA with atmospheric pressure distillation and I had a lightbulb appear over my head.

Instead of bubbling pure oxygen through the HNO3 at 60C, why not just inject pure oxygen into the flow of gas coming out of the distillation chamber?

I see no incompatibilities with it. Oxygen and HNO3 are oxidizers and both have no flash point.

Or maybe HNO3 creates a certain amount of nitrogen dioxide at a certain temperature no matter what and this won't work?
