I have a bottle of toluene and bottle of DCM I've removed the water from and was wondering if it would be OK to leave some calcium chloride chips in
the bottle to keep it dry when being stored? I can't really imagine anything happening to the DCM tbh

CaCl2 isn't a very good drying agent, when drying air CaCl2 will leave around a quarter gram of H2O vapour per liter of air. CuSO4 isn't any better,
leaving over a gram of H2O per liter; MgSO4 is also in that range. Molecular sieves leave a few milligrams of H2O, CaSO4 leaves under 10 milligrams
and is what I'd use to keep a solvent dry as it's unreactive towards most common solvents.
