I am hoping to get some assistance regarding the synthesis of Fischer's Base (1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methyleneindoline). We have a chemical very close
though not quite. Our reaction is very close though is a heavy oily substance that floats to the bottom until acid is introduced. Does anyone have any
experience with the synthesis of this compound?
