does Today's Posts still work?

Polverone - 26-4-2004 at 11:48

I made a minor adjustment to the forum software and now it seems I can't view Today's Posts when logged in as a non-admin or not logged in at all. Is everyone going to have to flush their cookies again?

Edit: yes, the answer is "everyone needs to flush their cookies from sciencemadness again." Then Today's Posts will again behave. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Today's posts works for me, but for some reason I haven't seen whimsy in the todays post section since the hack, I have to manually go to the main selection page and go into whimsy.

Same for me on both counts.
Today's post works fine. However it doesn't show posts in Whimsy, since the hacker came/upgrade was done.

Hmmm

I've had today's posts occasionally cut out on me for a few hours here and there, but it's working now.

as for whimsy, I had'nt noticed about the lack until just now I checked....I guess I have some catching up to do.

the Whimsy thing is part of security

Whimsy is supposed to require a password to use. Apparently, users without the password could view thread titles (maybe thread contents too) from Today's Posts. This is why newer versions of XMB have blocked passworded forum threads from Today's Posts. No, it's not a great solution.

no big deal

as long as we know.

I was just wondering where ig was, his loonieness was strangely missing, now I've found him!

yes it works - or it did about 37.45663 second ago.

I had to throw out the old cookie to make "Today's Posts" work after theMSDB was 'infiltrated'. For what it's worth.
