Perforated Nickel electrodes.

Might be of interest here or you may think Im mental.:P.......

I remember obtaining nickel metal yonks ago, which is perforated with holes about 3 /4 mm in diameter, by the dis-assembly on old NiCd batteries.

May be usefull at the cathode in electrolysis of molten NaOH, the surface tension of the molten Na may cling into the perforations of the cathode, may allow more easy recovery of the Na .
I wish I'd kept the perforated Ni, but I can get some more.
