Need help by Nitroethane Synthesis

New Chemist - 19-11-2012 at 13:12

Hello I´m new on this Board and I have a Question for the Synthesis of Nitroethane.
I hope anyone help me and sry I´m not so good in Englisch.

A standard synthesis from Nitroethane via Sodium ethylsulfate and
Sodium nitrite requires Potassium Carbonate.

When I use Potassium nitrite instead the Sodium nitrite can I also
use Potassium Carbonate?Or wich Carbonate were required?

Hi, I'm trying to find information for Sodium ethylsulfate but not for Nitroethane. I tried many search engines, in order to find out information regards, viscosity, H bond and anythings regards that in order to mix with a solvent. the solvent could be acetone, dcm ... I've checked many msds and pages but looks like it's not very well documented. anybody can find to help some documents, book etc?

Mainly I've effects on plastic material, like poly vinyl chlorine, PPA, Polyester and other plastic material.

Thanks and appreciate in advance. so far all I find and googled was mainly for nitroethane and drug use :( also testing kids that shows drug use after 5 days in body. but I'm well aware in China they use it mainly in recycling as well.

Thanks again
