Terrorist Plot in Canada to blow up Rail System

binaryclock - 22-4-2013 at 20:43

Sigh, not another terrorist plot involving fertilizers... Finding AN was already tough enough! They have even removed it from cold packs..

"The group never got a chance to execute any of its plans before being arrested when one of its members took delivery of what they thought were three tonnes of fertilizer to be used in truck bombs. Undercover agents had replaced the shipment with harmless chemicals."

There was never a terrorist plot. This is an invented crime made for propaganda purposes. Undercover agents found some religious fanatic halfwits who were stupid enough to be "recruited" for a "jihad" by the "comrade soldier of allah" who was the supplier of the fake explosives. Classic entrapment scam, a "thought crime" entrapment scheme of the same variety as is used by "investigators" in the U.S. and Europe. It is based upon defiance of the teaching of the bible which forbids as evil and treachery to put a stumbling block before a brother. Now the "heroes" who "saved" people from the "thought criminals" can feel they have earned their pay for "preventing" a crime which they invented. It is a variation on the scam where a buxom and fetching police woman acts the part of being a prostitute and tempts some horny dude to have sex and then at the last minute tells him she will require a payment for her services usually a bargain price, and the overexcited "customer" who agrees to the "transaction" is not only a victim of fraud but is arrested for "soliciting" the whore who actually was the one soliciting him. See how that works? Who is really the whore?

binaryclock - 23-4-2013 at 05:12

Good insight, but where did you get your information?

Regardless, whichever way you look at it, it doesn't bode well for the nitrates in Canada. Bad press for chemicals no matter who the whore is.

Rosco Bodine - 23-4-2013 at 05:34

Two eyes and having a brain knowing something about the world is where I get my insight. Muslims are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, particularly that sort that wants to be a martyr for what "religion" seeks a global caliphate ruled by sharia law, you know a one world shitholeistan where there are no living "infidels" and especially no stinkin' joooos..... A world where little girls get sexually mutilated as is the custom of such savages who have made wifebeating and honor killing and other cold blooded murder an art form. A thousand years of dysgenic evil and stupidity is what they represent.

Nearly all of the alleged "terror plots" prosecuted in the U.S. since 9-11-2001 have been "invent a crime" scenarios, probably out of dozens and dozens of cases over the years there were only 2 or 3 cases that involved actual plots which did not originate with the police themselves. So the odds are when one of these "big cases" is announced it is a 100% fabricated and 100% police invented "terror plot". Complete and total bullshit "plots" from the getgo.

I agree that some things are not what they seem in this world. Let's try to focus on the implications of the situation has on chemistry though as that's what I'm primarily interested in.

So much focus is put on nitrates I guess, but we all know there are better ways of setting off explosives that don't even require nitrates. I'm assuming nitrates are the main focus of law enforcement as they are the easiest and quickest way to set off an explosion. But still, if someone is going to go through the trouble of making something go boom and getting in a ton of trouble over it, don't you think they'd go the extra mile and make something better that just using a few tons of nitrates?

Rosco Bodine - 23-4-2013 at 06:08

Job security is the main focus of law enforcement and all other government.

chemcam - 23-4-2013 at 08:06

You guys remember the alleged Christmas tree bombing in Portland a few years ago? FBI sold some wanna be terrorist the actual ammonium nitrate but gave him bad detonators. This sounds just like the above story. LE's trying to gain support from the mass population. Would not surprise me if they hired actors to play the terrorist.

Okay, now your question. I think our hobby will be fine as long as the people trying to ruin lives don't start synthesizing stuff and just stick to ANFO which generally is bought. I think drug cooks have more of a negative affect on home chemistry since it is so widespread and frequent.

Tongue in cheek Orwellian humor is not for everybody, and the funny yet too sad thing is that so many were busted simply by not "getting it" what dark humor and psychology was going on with that little field experiment by Mark Dice. Then along comes a blonde :D I'm loving it and her for laughing at it.

if your going to ban pressure cookers, shouldn't you ban hot water heaters, as well?

Rosco Bodine - 6-5-2013 at 13:39

Mark Dice was doing an anthropological study, psychological survey and field experiment for identifying sheeple / progressive halfwits of the "collective" hive mind who are like the "pod people" of the classic science fiction movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The "petition" was a roll call for "pod people". Every signature on the "petition" was one of the pod people answering "present". The blonde lady in the red sweats towards the end of the video was laughing out loud because she "got it" exactly what Mark Dice was doing. It is plainly evident some readers of this forum are among the "pod people" and add their name to that roll call as a mail in response. Sheesh have a little depth.

Don't these people ever sleep

" As a political approach, Ward's system became known as social liberalism,
as distinguished from the classical liberalism of the eighteenth and nineteenth
centuries which featured such thinkers as Adam Smith and John Stuart Mill.
While classical liberalism had sought prosperity and progress through laissez-fare,
Ward's "American social liberalism" sought to enhance social progress through
direct government intervention. Ward believed that in large, complex and rapidly
growing societies human freedom could only be achieved with the assistance of
a strong democratic government acting in the interest of the individual. The
characteristic element of Ward's thinking was his faith that government, acting
on the empirical and scientifically based findings of the science of sociology,
could be harnessed to create a near Utopian social order."

unconsciousness, readily yielding to all suggestions, having all the violence of
feeling peculiar to beings who cannot appeal to the influence of reason, deprived
of all critical faculty, cannot be otherwise than excessively credulous. The improbable
does not exist for a crowd, and it is necessary to bear this circumstance well in mind
to understand the facility with which are created and propagated the most improbable
legends and stories. . . . A crowd thinks in images, and the image itself immediately
calls up a series of other images, having no logical connection with the first. . . . Our
reason shows us the incoherence there is in these images, but a crowd is almost blind
to this truth, and confuses with the real event what the deforming action of its
imagination has superimposed thereon. A crowd scarcely distinguishes between the
subjective and the objective. It accepts as real the images evoked in its mind."

In 2000 20 % of all jobs in the U.S. were in manufacturing. Today it is 5 % ,
much of it for Department of Homeland Security and military provision.
No doubt it will be needed if the Chinese ever embargo exports here. Practicing
chemistry is just the pertinent issue to forum hobbyists , but the do it yourself
culture is being marginalized. If you can produce anything with your own hands
you are regarded at some level as an enemy of the state. Independence , self
reliance and self sufficiency are suspect and disruptive to imposing dependency
on the state and subservience to the will of the " people "- the people have spoken.
Those of us who can will flee. Better to live in Bangladesh than here in hell.

Bangladesh crams 160 million people into an area smaller than the state of Iowa.
It is a country so destitute it makes sub-Saharan Africa look wealthy by comparison.
They use technology from the dark ages , metal workers wield hammers to forge
tools by hand, just like medieval blacksmiths. Absent anything remotely capital
intensive the World Trade Organization has awarded it " Least Developed Country "
status. Yet the fertility of the Ganges delta assures agricultural bounty. By example
Bangladesh shows that scenarios of overpopulation bringing biblical ruin to world
civilization is all fanciful imagery. In the parlance of environmentalists it is ' sustainable '.

ive heard and read about that FBI thing from a mass media site of some sort where they explain when they press the button that was supposed to put several tonnes of explosives in the air they can take them to jail

but.. if they were willing to go to that, why not take it as in having also victims? im sure a few of us in here could get pissed at each others over these things as all might not see the same
as i see it the future is horrific and insane, control freaks with huge hardons over controlling people in masses and they reciting their every single word with a smile, because anger does not exist by that time

the further away from all of this you can get the better
or well i dont want to take the risk of being a victim to a such massive army
