acid salt + base ?

fermion - 6-12-2004 at 10:21

Does anyone know the reactions of acid salts with bases?

It would behave the almost the same as a regular acid - base rxn.

ex.

NaHSO<sub>4</sub> + H<sub>2</sub>O --> Na<sup>+ </sup> H<sub>3</sub>O<sup>+</sup> SO4<sup>2-</sup>

Thus creating a small amount of sulfuric acid which will react with whatever base.
