references section

sodium_stearate - 24-4-2014 at 06:32

Have been attempting to contact Polverone
via U2U for a few days now to hopefully gain
access to the references section.

No luck so far. My question is what do I need to
do to gain access to the references section?

Thanks,

Chuck

Probably more posts then you currently have, he logs on only a few times a month, so it might take a while.

You can also ask another one of the more active moderators

I think an administrator level user is the lowest permission likely to be able to alter the actual board settings like user access permissions.

Yes, sorry, that's what I meant.

I read on some thread that you need 100 good posts. Is that still true?

macckone - 24-4-2014 at 18:37

I don't think there is a specific post count.
A lot has to do with post quality I think.
Although I doubt 13 posts will do it.

I've seen people with about 30 posts on whimsy, and generally you get whimsy and references at the same time. It depends mostly on the content of your posts, rather than the number. There probably is a minimum amount of posts though, and it likely is more than 13. My advice is wait, and post good quality posts only.

I got References in under 100, but I only use it to try and PM people resources.

PM me about Whimsy... since I never asked for access.

You can contact Polverone, but you can also contact me (I changed the texts for the references and whimsy forums).

General guideline for access is presence for approximately 1 month or longer and a decent history in terms of posting behavior and forum etiquette. There are no strict rules on post count, level of knowledge, age, amount of resources, or whatever. It is just that we do not want trolls, kewls, arrogant dicks, and other misbehaving persons to have access to these forums.
