Decomposition/Oxidation reactions with NH4NO3, NANO3 and O2 to produce 100% HNO3

By mixing NH4NO3, NANO3 and O2 you could make almost 100% HNO3 (correct me if I am wrong) but I cant seem to figure out how much NaNO3 to mix to the NH4NO3 to make the HNO3 with out toxic fumes coming off or dilute HNO3 I plan to add excessive amounts of O2 so I do not care about how much O2 is needed (but really you need to know in order to find out how much NANO3 to add to the NH4NO3). If some one would help me with the formula I would greatly appreciate it however I do not wont to be spoon fed because I would not be able to calculate similar reactions so if someone would explain to me how to calculate the decomposition/oxidation reaction between NANO3, NH4NO3 and O2 to produce 100% HNO3 I would greatly appreciate it

Mixing ammonium nitrate and sodium nitrate will merely give you a mixture of the two. I fail to see how the addition of oxygen would make any difference. To get nitric acid, you should add concentrated sulphuric acid to a nitrate, and distill off the product. This topic has been extensively discussed in other threads.

Oh I’m sorry
I was not clear I was going to heat it tell the NH4NO3 and NaNO3 decomposed
See if you decompose NH4NO3 you get 2H2O,NO and N and then if you were to add oxygen and then condense you would get about 45% nitric acid but when you decompose 2NaNO3 you get 2NO2 and a 1/2 O2 so my question is how much NaNO3 to add to the mixture to make 100% HNO3

Holy!!! You're gonna be heating an ammonium nitrate solution?!

(*scoots to shelter*)

Two words: Bad Idea!

What is wrong with that and what are the dangers?

Ammonium nitrate decomposing into nitric oxide? All I've ever heard of is nitrous oxide (N2O).

If you add 4NaNO3, 1/2 O2, 2NH4NO3 and heat tell they decompose and collect the gases that are given off and bubble them threw 1H2O you should have 6HNO3 and N2 so if you condense the gases given off you will get 100% HNO3

4NaNO3 + 2NH4NO3 + 1/2 O2 + H2O = NaOH + 6HNO3 + N2

Is this reaction correct?

Do you have any references for this reaction? It seems very unlikely, especially the part where nitric acid leaves sodium hydroxide behind.
