Extremely distorted bonding

Strained bonding has always fascinated me. Cyclopropane and cubane being some of my favorites.

Anyone managed to make Thiotimoline? :D:P

It has the most strained chemical bonds of any substance known or unknown.

It's ficticious??

Strained compounds.... isn't octanitrocubane a rather interesting specimen?

Or i.e. ethylene epoxide? There's a thread on this somewhere. Ah, BromicAcid helped me, it's here!

Yah, of course its fictitious. How else could you have a compound that dissolves exactly 1.3 seconds before the water is added?

I was in an Isaac Asimov kind of mood that day.

Guess this would better belong in Whimsy. Ah well.
