X-Ray scintillation -- CsI(Tl) or GOS

I need to create a small scintillation screen that glows from X-Rays (like in fluoroscopes), that I can photograph with a digital camera, and that won't degrade after multiple exposures.

I cannot use zinc sulfide due to the long hysteresis -- I plan to do cone-beam tomography of small objects on a turntable, so a few seconds max is the acceptable (preferably a fraction of a second).

The usual substances are either thallium-doped cesium iodide, or terbium-doped gadolinium oxysulfide. Complete screens are very expensive, whereas for the chemicals themselves, I only see for sale CsI, without the Tl.

Is it possible to synthesize either of these at home, or how to find them?
