U2U error

CherrieBaby - 12-12-2005 at 05:20

When I attempt to send a PM (U2U) without a subject line the whole message is just dumped.

Imstaed it should save the message as a draft and tell the user that the message was not sent because it had an empty subject - rather than dumping the whole message and informing the user that the message was "empty" - which it clearly was not - only the subject line was accidently empty.

Ouch, hate it when that happens :o

The way it's handled on other boards is it pops up a message before doing any operation, "subject line required".

Sorry, that sounds like a bug introduced by the change of board software versions. I will upgrade when the next stable release comes along. I would have stayed with the old version, but there were just too many security holes to put off upgrading any longer.

The U2U " Preview " button is also a very good way of
instantly deleting your carefully typed and thought out message . Clears everything you wanted to check
right off the screen so you don't have to worry about
any formatting issues or spelling or anything like that
because of course there is no more message to be of any concern .

I learned this after the first two times. Now I know better, but I still press the stupid button by accident.
