For a project, I am attempting to colorimetrically detect mercury ions within a solution. To acheive this end, I have ordered diphenylthiocarbazone, a
metallic ion detector. Do any of you know what solvent I should dissolve the solid diphenylthiocarbazone in to form a dithizone solution to
colorimetrically identify the mercury ions?
