kyro8008 - 24-1-2006 at 12:20

Ive recently aquired the following:

CRC Press - Handbook of Chemistry and Physics - 84th Edition - 2004 - (Lide D.R. (ed.)) (2475s)

It is in pdf format, very good quality (not scanned but original). I cant see it on the ftp, is it useful to anyone here?

Here's the address for the FTP

http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=2023

It's in the thread over there.

As for a username//password, you will have to ask axehandle for it

Axehandle hasn't been very active lately, though, so you could try asking MadHatter via U2U also for access to his FTP.

sparky (~_~)

I would like the CRC also but most of all "The golden book of chemistry experiments (1960)". If for any reason you cannot get it up on one of the servers U2U me and we will work out a way such as giving you ftp info for my own server space and then I will up it to axe or mads's since I have access to either.

My CRC is outdated I would certainly like a up to date one!:)

Ive heard nothing as yet from axehandle and have just contacted madhatter. If I dont hear from either of them then ill use your method IrC, it dosent matter either way.

Thanks.

CRC

MadHatter - 26-1-2006 at 06:52

The CRC 85th edition is already on the FTP in the 'CHEMISTRY - OTHER' folder.

BTW, I have the 52nd, 62nd, and 81st editions of this book in hard copy. I'm disappointed
in the 81st edition because it no longer lists the ranges of solubility (grams per 100 ml H2O).
This is for the inorganic compounds with temperatures at 0C and 100C unless otherwise
specified. IMHO, they've removed a piece of critical data that is useful for fractional
crystallization.

P.S. Kyro8008 check your U2U.
