sciencemadness downtime

Sorry about the interruption we experienced. Bravidio never contacted me about what had caused the trouble, but it wasn't just sciencemadness that was cut off. All of the dozens of sites hosted on this server were unable to use the database. I hope it doesn't happen again; if it does, it may be time to think about the painful task of switching hosts.

Apologies for the mysterious downtime. We keep having problems with portions of the database (where all of the data for this forum is stored) being corrupted.

Yeah, I tried going on at around 12 PM but it wouldn't work. I guess this server host is pretty crappy... Is there a way to keep the site still up by hosting it on a free hosts on another site and then do the switching on the real site?
