Question about salt formation

I have a question about the salt formation of the -NH-
group and a metal.
When the -NH- group for instance in a energetic material (biphenylamin) is refluxed with a hydroxyde (KOH in aque. H2O) to the
-NK-group, do the material decompose or is it depended on the material is nitrated or is it a azine, amin or a easy nitro group ?
Potentially the sensitive material can synthetisized with a carbonate and a acid.
Maybe interested is the potassium salt of a nitrated bifurazanamin or when possiple a nitroamino derivat of
dihexamethylenediamin ;).
