Spinning Band Distillation Unit for Sale

runninfarmer - 5-3-2015 at 17:27

Hi everyone, I have a nice spinning band distillation unit for sale. It's a nice piece of equipment for separating close boiling point mixtures. The glass has a mirrored coating which keeps heat from being lost to the surroundings. Has impeller that adds extra stages of distillation. Comes with controller. The controller powers on and is in working condition. Comes with heating mantle and lab jack. It's on ebay here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251866219315?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:...

Unfortunately I can't afford that ATM, but here's my two cents: in case someone here can buy it, post it here for however much you'd get, taking into account the eBay fees - I know they're big. Just bypass eBay altogeth for members and sell directly, that way you get the same amount of money, and people here can get a better deal, making it more likely to sell.
If nobody here buys it, no big deal. Someone on eBay will eventually.

That's true, I was thinking about that. Since ebay takes 9% I could go $600 on it. If anyone's interested please feel free to message me.

I've lowered my price to $400 or best offer. Thanks for looking

I think it's a little outside the scope of this forum. Amateur chemistry does not often call for a spinning band distillation, actually I have only seen it used once even in a professional capacity (in the manufacture of DAST) although I'm sure there are certain branches of chemistry where they are often used.
