What are the differences between NAPHTA and NAPHTALENE, chemically and in what they are used for?:cool:

Naphtha is a mix of lighter hydrocarbons, usually expressed as having some range of boiling points. Mainly used as solvents

Naphthalene is a specific aromatic hydrocarbon.

Naphthalene is used as the main raw material for mothballs

Naptha and napthalene are both derived from crude petroleum, but napthalene is a polycyclic aromatic compound, while naptha can be numerous different mixtures of aliphatic and/or aromatic hydrocarbons :P
