TCCA vs Calcium Hypochlorite

Quick question: why is it that most, if not all, reactions which call for in-situ production of chlorine use TCCA + HCl when calcium hypochlorite is just as readily available and slightly more soluble in water than TCCA?

Because a lot of the time, TCCA is more available.
