Seperating metal salts

RobRylan - 5-4-2016 at 12:30

What are some various ways to chemically separate metal salts?

I dissolved a broken stainless steel knife in hydrochloric acid and I'd like to separate the iron salts, chromium salts, nickel salts, and whatever other salts might be in there.

Thanks for the help

Try a book on qualitative analysis.

There are also multiple threads about separation of the elements in stainless steel on this forum. Try a search, see what you can dig up.
