I realize that sodium hydroxide is readily available for most people but would anyone be interested in buying a large bulk of sodium hydroxide. I got
a whole lot of lye for soap making and I don't need it anymore. I can sell in 5 and 10 lb bags. Price is 25.00 for 5lbs and 40.00 for 10lbs.
shipping is included in the price -- anywhere in the continental USA.

Sodium hydroxide can currently be had on eBay, in that quantity range, at prices as low as $3.17/lb (maybe lower), including shipping.
Then again, most eBay sellers won't accept other chemicals as payment.

I'll swap 1 lb of Ascarite for 3lb of sodium hydroxide, shipping included.
Condition:
First you ship me the 3lb of pure sodium hydroxide.
On receipt, then i ship you the very much equally pure Ascarite.
All these names for the same chemical make me drunk.
