in this video he uses something called a Subaseal? its a red rubber thing thathe puts on the neck of a flask and it allows for a needle with a syringe
filled with a gas to puncture it and allow the gas in. I looked on ebay for something called a subaseal but couldnt findanything i thought maybe u
guys would know a more common name or where to find them.

But I have always had this doubt.Do you even need that.Couldn't you just wrap some saran over the mouth of the flask and then puncture that with a
needle ?

Maybe type "Suba Seal" with a space rather than Subaseal - all one word. I used to buy them from Sigma-Aldrich or Lancaster I think.
Note: For ultra high purity, if using these seals with toluene in the test tube, then don't invert the tube... the toluene causes dye to leach out
of the rubber into solution. For high purity work I once bought some inert, colourless, silicone stoppers and cut them up and glued them onto the
bottom of the suba seals... this gave me a subs seal for my test tube that had a bottom part made of silicone that did not contaminate my reaction.
