Can acetic anhydride be made from diketene and acetic acid?

Most likely, you would end up with the mixed anhydride of acetic and acetoacetic acid.

Short answer: no.

Long answer: nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Diketene can be converted to ketene. But usually ketene is consumed as it is formed, and diketene is never produced.
