dessicator drying methods

I've got some n-acetylcysteine amide that was recrystalized from ethanol. I want to dry it but it's sensitive to air and heat. I was thinking of using a vacuum dessicator and maybe filling it with nitrogen. I'm wondering what the best dessicant would be. Also wondered if molecular sieve 4A would be good.

If you put the wet product into a vacuum dessicator why would you need nitrogen ?
ethanol would form the majority of the atmosphere.

Even for open drying by evaporation into the air, in a beaker,
I would expect the denser ethanol vapour (1.6x air) to blanket the product -mostly.
