(added: you can replace "carbon atom with a C=O bond" with "carbonyl carbon")

No, it's not. The three substances below are different compounds:


1-Chloroacetaldehyde
1-chloroacetaldehyde.png - 6kB
1-chloroacetyl chloride
1-chloroacetil chloride.png - 9kB
acetyl chloride
acetil chloride.png - 7kB

Sorry, consider the first post I did not think it worth having a thread on the subject and attempted to delete it. It only deleted my original post, my mistake.
