Online Chem?

djcubis2003 - 30-9-2007 at 20:04

I can find most commonly used chemicals here in town, but for "tech grade " quality can anyone help me to find an online supplier that will work with individuals that may be more competitively priced.

any help would be great!!

SEARCH SEARCH! There are so many threads on where certain chemicals where bought or how they can be made at home. I make mAny of my own common inorganics where I want to monitor purity or I just want to save money in inflated shipping costs. After you read some threads try to find chemistry books published before 1970. They will assist you with many novel techniques you will not find in modern texts.

A little bold this being your first post don't you think?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't think bold. But I am frugal minded.

I do tend to think maybe someone has probably stumbled on some other suppliers that maybe closer to my location.

OK well I might have been harsh and it is next to impossible to find suppliers but this information is strewn throughout this forum. I am doing a search now with "supplier" Itand there are numerous results. I have even posted links myself.

About being bold, it struck me odd as your first post as asking for suppliers. I took it as being narcish. When the establishment keeps taking chemical products off the OTC catagory I feel the walls of fascism closing in.

www.thechemistrystore.com
www.postapplescientific.com
www.hvchemical.com
www.kyantec.com

I've ordered from all of the above and they all sell to individuals no problem, although post apple has some self imposed restrictions on what they sell... post apple is also the cheapest ACS grade H2SO4 I've found too if you buy by the case.

www.sciencelab.com is a rip off.. they will take your money and you will never see it again.

I've also ordered from

www.thechemistrystore.com
www.kyantec.com
www.jdphotochem.com
www.secure.sciencecompany.com

the best service was from www.kyantec.com and www.jdphotochem.com.

I'll try the others, and I also found some promising sites at http://www.hyperdeath.co.uk/chemicals.

I must have been blind it was right in front of me!
