Went to the paint shop to get some thinners then found what appears to be pure Toluene: Clova Thinner #13 (78013)

Hq Is in BC, Canada, So for those in need keep an eye out cost less then 30 dollars!

I'll have to do some working up on it to test purity further.

there should be msds lab specs on the solvent you can look up to look at test results of batch.

Clova #13 has 60% to 100% toluene according to the msds.

They list a B.P. of 110 C so it may well be straight toluene.

Edit: nope, its 111 C.

that maybe is what will be determined at some point, a simple water wash to see if any thing is pulled out, 50ml cold distilled water to 50ml of the solvent should see nice clean separation dead middle, then will look up other more refined tests

and see what this batch is, but will be a score if pure!
