double layer capacitance

I'm trying to investigate the double layer capacitance of a porous carbon material and am looking for a little bit of help in making it as easy as possible. I seem to be missing something... I know that capacitance is generally E/(di/dt) but can't figure out how to extract that data from a potentiostat/galvanostat. All of the literature I keep finding points to ways to minimize double layer capacitance, but I'm looking to maximize it.... any help in the matter would be much appreciated. Cheers!
