Multi-page TIFF files
Multi-page TIFF files
With Irfanview you can search through multiple multi-page TIFF files a lot faster than using Adobe Acrobat Reader to view pdf files. You can use the
Page Up and Page Down keys to go from one multi-page TIFF file to another in Irfanview. To go from one page to the next use Ctrl Page Up and Ctrl
Page Down. For patents, its best to use a resolution that's higher than 1024 x 768, but its possible to read a lot of patents at that resolution. I
like using 1600 x 1200 resolution with patents. Hit Enter to go back and forth between full screen and window view. To adjust full screen size click
View in the Irfanview window and then click Show Fullscreen Options to adjust Width and Height. You can download Irfanview from http://www.irfanview.com
The video here shows a terminal at the USPTO which uses multi-page TIFF files for searching and viewing patents. This is the EAST database.

I’m uploading the TIFF files here for people to try out. If you put them all in the same folder you can go from one patent to another in Irfanview
using the Page Up and Page Down keys. GetIPDL costs money. Can anyone think of a way to do this quickly for free? More than one patent at a time
would be nice. There’s some programs that automatically download multiple patents, but they cost at least a hundred dollars. A visual basic
script/program or linux script/program might work.

3556659 is on a Laser Excited Raman spectrophotometer.
