A protein that can detect magnetic fields ???

Apparently glass catfish can detect magnetic field using a 133 amino acid protein. I had thought that detecting magnetic was performed by magnetic particles in cells. Apparently the protein does not contain any iron but I guess it could contain other magnetic elements or unpaired electrons.

Its fascinating how a research group tracked the protein down. Eventually inserting the cloned gene for the protein in to the brain cells of a rats and detecting the rats response to magnetic fields.

Wireless control of cellular function by activation of a novel protein responsive to electromagnetic fields.

I don't know who invented mRNA vaccines but they should get a fancy medal and I hope they made a shed load of money from it.
