Metal nitrates and organic peroxides.

I'm quite aware that HMTD reacts with metal. I'm wondering if HMTD will react with the potassium in potassium nitrate. The reason I ask, is because I was thinking of using a KNO3 fuse with a HMTD blasting cap and I don't want to blow my fingers off.

No, it won't react with K+ otherwise you'd be in trouble everytime you neutralised your HMTD...

Closed, because this is (again) practical stuff.

Don't you people ever learn? :(
