Hearing damage

Reading the safety discussion in the nitro thread, I noticed one thing not mentioned, so I'd like to bring it up to the attention of newbies: hearing damage occurs very easily and is hard to notice initially, as there's no pain associated with it. But even firing a hand gun just once without hearing protection causes permanent hearing damage. Just because you are at a safe distance to avoid bodily damage doesn't mean your ears are safe, not even close. I was surprised at how loud a small amount of AP was. I strongly urge the use of high attenuation earplugs.
