Denatonium Benzoate synthesis
denatonium benzoate, this strange chemical...however, you know it very well! it is added in about every poison chemical substance to prevent
ingestion, because of it's extemely bitter taste.
from wikipedia:
[...] Dilutions of as little as 10 ppm are unbearably bitter to most humans [...]
This is surely the compound we would like to synthetize.

However, the problem is that it is a fairly complicated compound, and even OrgSyn does seem to not have a synthesis for it.

Here is a scheme, although it starts from lidocaine, so you may want to start off with a synthesis of lidocaine.

I found about 100 1.8ml carpules of 2% lidocaine, and will probably be attempting the synthesis soonish.
