I've seen two different bold text items that should have been links. I'm obviously not configured correctly for these kind of links. One was a video
and the other was (probably) a url. Is this most likely a firefox add-on of mine or do I need to do something in my site config?

I think that Polverone disabled embedding videos in posts so perhaps that was one of the issues you experienced.
