Automatic pipette / condenser washer

Greetings.
I have just built a pipette/burette washer for my friends who wash pipettes !

A slight lowering of the middle ring of pvc, and it would be good for condensors to, probably. I'm chuffed, it works just like my soxhlet.

To use: connect a hose to the top and position over a sink.

I enclose a photo in case anyone else could use one too.
One design point I stuffed up on this one - the drain side has to be significantly lower than the take-out from the main vessel. I have an extension to do this, and a sink to perch it on. If you are repeating this, you might want to raise the height of the take off by 5cm, so you don't have to lower the take off to below the base.

Enjoy!

Two thoughts, do they need any pipettes to go with it, I have a lot of them. Seriously, I have a lot of loose, used, pipettes in many sizes and types.

And if anyone wants something like this to wash pipettes in, I have a few used ones that I would sell cheap. The shipping might be a little high due the bulkiness, but they are pretty light.

Dr bob, they are a school, and their purchasing system is a nightmare. I am just going to give them this as a present, otherwise they'd melt down.

The second thing is, international shipping to Australia is probably prohibitive.

A shame though, 160 students per year doing titrations eat pipettes!
