Molten sodium thiosulphate electrolysis?


I read that sodium thiosulphate has a fusion point of 48ÂșC. Also, it can be produced by mix sulphur with a boiling dissolution of caustic soda.

Can the electrolysis of its molten salts be performed for obtain metallic sodium?

Sorry, that's the pentahydrate that has a melting point of 48C. Obviously, electrolyzing that when it melts is no different from electrolyzing any other aqueous solution. Anhydrous sodium thiosulfate decomposes into this yellow, stinking, sulfurous mess when you try and heat it to any significant degree.
