TNT blast ovepressure equivalents and VODs of fuel/oxidizer mixtures

5 kg charges. Of interest are AP or AN/Al 70:30 that seem to reach 200 % of TNT equivalent.

Rapopart’s Rules for critical commentary:

1. Attempt to re-express your target’s position so clearly, vividly and fairly that your target says: “Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it that way.”
2. List any points of agreement (especially if they are not matters of general or widespread agreement).
3. Mention anything you have learned from your target.
4. Only then are you permitted to say so much as a word of rebuttal or criticism.

Anatol Rapoport was a Russian-born American mathematical psychologist (1911-2007).

10 kg of TNT is known to produce 99 % lethal blast at 3 m and 50 % at 3.9 m, seing AP or AN and 30 % of 23 micron flake aluminium create that kind of blast with only 5 kg of material is shocking, esp. since small scale tests from Poland show that thermobaric AN/Al mixtures are only somewhat more powerful than RDX (10 - 15 % more than RDX/wax 94:6)
