Basic preparative chemistry references

Alot of times when I search the forums, I see members referencing texts for preperations of reagents. However, people never give full titles. "See Vogel", "See Brauer" or something is what I usually find. I searched for Braurer and found a Richard Brauer, but he didn't write any reference books.

What are the basic texts that one should have on hand that give a good reference for preparing chemicals? I have a CRC handbook, but no other references other than a periodic table.

Oh, Hmm. Well thats embarassing. Thanks.

I have taken a look at Vogel and Brauer, they both look quite good.
