Preparation of alkali metals via the catalysed magnesium reduction process

I have written a paper with the intention of publishing it in the up-and-coming sciencemadness journal. I have attached a PDF of the current draft of this paper for preliminary feedback, but also to raise awareness of this journal. I am aware that this is not the normal procedure for posting a write-up, but I feel that given my intentions, this was not unreasonable. Also, PDFs are very easy to read on almost any computer or device.

Preparation of alkali metals via the catalysed magnesium reduction process
A review of the alcohol-catalysed magnesium-reduction process for the synthesis of alkali metals based on US Patent No. 4725311. Tertiary alcohols can be used to catalyse the reduction of alkali metal hydroxides by magnesium metal to elemental alkali metals in an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent at an optimal temperature of 180-220°C. A mechanism is proposed, along with the evidence collected thus far. The scope of the reaction is also discussed.

Thus far, research has only been into sodium and potassium, so it is only these that are reviewed. Additionally, I have used forum members pen-names/pseudonyms in the attached version to preserve their anonymity. My reasoning for posting a PDF is that the document is 10 pages long, and so a forum post would be both unwieldy and impractical.

Feedback would be useful and valued, if people have comments to make. :)

As already discussed in the thread for the Acta Chemica Libera journal, I agree with 12thealchemist in the importance of getting the project going.
Beyond this review, we are expecting to carry out some further work into the optimisation of this reaction and gaining insight into its underlying thermodynamics.

I have been updating the write-up as the videos come out, but figured I would only update this post when he's finished his work on the process.

This is the final version, including the latest updates from NurdRage. He is set to release one more video on this research project, I may upload a new version if and when any more information comes to light.

Edit: For those of you checking back on this thread, I am adding a few small changes to the second file from time to time. No major changes are taking place, however.
