Anton, a special-purpose machine for molecular dynamics simulation
Anyone seen this? I was reading about it in the July Communications of the ACM. http://portal.acm.org/citation.cfm?doid=1364782.1364802
They claim millisecond-scale MD simulation with many tens of thousands of atoms doable in two months, which is a couple orders of magnitude
improvement over a supercomputer (assuming timesteps on the order of femtoseconds).
